Terms and Conditions of Lodestar Luxury Travel
Lodestar Luxury Travel is referred to below as LLT.
The prices listed are in U.S. dollars and are based on double occupancy. We reserve the right to change overland costs due to extraordinary circumstances beyond our control. However, this is highly unlikely to happen.
The overland cost typically includes deluxe accommodations, all breakfasts, baggage handling, ground transportation, sightseeing as outlined in the trip itinerary, entrance fees and permits, and the services of an English-speaking guide.
In the event that deluxe accommodations are not available or do not exist in a given location, we will provide the very best accommodations available.
Cancellations and Refunds
Lodestar Luxury Travel (LLT) will assess a cancellation charge to cover the loss of nonrefundable advance payments we have made on your behalf to ground operators and government agencies.
LLT will not grant partial refunds for any unused trip arrangements after the trip has commenced or any refunds to trip members who do not complete any portion of the trip.
LLT is not responsible for additional expenses incurred by trip members (e.g., nonrefundable “advance purchase” air tickets, medical expenses, and passport and visa fees).
Insurance
Trip insurance is not included in the cost of the tour. You may check to see what your own personal insurance already covers or purchase additional trip insurance.
Release and Limitation of Liability
LLT does not own or operate any entity that provides goods or services for your trip, including, for example, lodging facilities, transportation companies, guides, food service providers, equipment suppliers, or ground operators.
LLT is not responsible for any negligent or willful act or failure to act of any such person or entity, nor for any act or inaction of any other third party not under its control.
Without limitation, LLT is not liable for any direct, indirect, consequential, or incidental damage, injury, death, loss, accident, delay, inconvenience, or irregularity of any kind which may be occasioned by reason of any act or omission beyond its control, including, without limitation, any willful or negligent act, failure to act, or breach of contract of any third party, such as an airline, train, hotel, restaurant, or food supplier; bus, taxi, van, or guide, which is to or does supply any goods or services for this trip.
When there is a delay or change in the schedule, or when accommodations are downgraded, or when a third party goes bankrupt or does not pay their debts, or when there are acts of God, acts of terrorism or the threat of terrorism, force majeure, war, quarantine, epidemics or the threat of epidemics, criminal activity, or any other cause that LLT can not control.
LLT can change or remove any part of the itinerary if it thinks it is necessary. They can also substitute hotels, leaders, or trip features, or they can change any mode of transportation without warning or refund, with trip members responsible for any extra costs.
If LLT cancels any tours, or portions thereof, due to acts of insurrection, strikes, acts of God, or any other cause beyond its control, refunds will be based on the difference between the original trip price and the cost of services already provided. There are no refunds for unused goods or services.
Trip members grant LLT express permission to take photographic records of their trips for promotional and commercial use without compensation to trip members.
